Joe Thummel — President
Joe is a senior from Kansas City, Kansas studying Business and Statistics. He currently serves as President of MII, and was previously Vice President of Education. During his sophomore summer, Joe interned at PSG Equity, and this past summer, he interned at Evercore in their Technology M&A group in Menlo Park as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. In his free time, he enjoys playing poker, playing acoustic guitar, and playing pickleball.
Hayley Fligel — VP of New Member Recruitment
Hayley is a junior from Burlingame, CA, studying Business at Ross. She is currently the VP of New Member Recruitment. She is also involved in the Michigan Investment Banking Club. Her freshman summer, Hayley worked at Fly.io as a Corporate Finance intern. This past summer, she joined Odyssey Investment Partners as a Private Equity Summer Analyst. Next Summer, she will join Morgan Stanley as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. In her free time, she enjoys watching volleyball and spending time with her friends.
Stephen Lin — Co-VP of Investments
Stephen is a senior from Nanjing, China pursuing a dual degree in Statistics and Sports Management. He is currently Co-VP of Investments. During his sophomore summer, Stephen worked at Morgan Stanley as a Summer Analyst within the Investment Management division. This past summer, he joined PJT Partners as a Summer Analyst. In his free time, Stephen enjoys playing basketball, drinking coffee, and playing GO.
Season Wu — Co-VP of Investments
Season is a senior from Singapore studying Business, Economics, and Global Media Studies. She is currently Co-VP of Investments, and is involved in Phi Gamma Nu. During her sophomore summer, Season interned at Mosiac Venture Lab, a venture fund in Taipei, Taiwan. This past summer, she joined Point72 as a Summer Academy Investment Analyst. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and watching movies.
Ruth Dai — Co-VP Sophomore Education
Ruth is a senior from North Potomac, Maryland, and is majoring in Business with a Political Science Minor. She currently serves as VP of Sophomore Education, and previously served as VP of External Relations. During her sophomore summer, she worked at Odyssey Investment Partners, and this past summer, she joined M. Klein & Co. as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. In her free time, Ruth enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling.
Saheb Nibber — Co-VP of Sophomore Education
Saheb is a junior from Houston, Texas and is majoring in Business with a minor in Math. He currently serves as Co-VP of Sophomore Education, and previously was Co-VP of Freshmen Education. During his freshman summer, Saheb worked as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Baird Augustine. This past summer, he joined Hilliard Advisors, and next summer he will be joining BDT&MSD. He is also Chair of the National Youth Board of Directors for the League of Minority Voters. In his free time, Saheb enjoys cooking, working out, and shopping for groceries.
Nikhil Chopra — Co-VP of Sophomore Education
Nikhil is a junior from Menlo Park, California and is majoring in Business. He currently serves as Co-VP of Sophomore Education. During his sophomore summer, Nikhil worked as a venture capital intern at Micron. Next summer, he will join Vista Equity Partners as a Private Equity Summer Analyst. In his free time, Nikhil enjoys scuba diving, skiing, and traveling.
Nikhil Bovell — VP ofFreshmen Education
Nikhil is a junior from River Edge, New Jersey, studying Business. He currently serves as VP of Freshmen Education. On campus, Nikhil is also involved with the Michigan Restructuring Group and the Student Astronomical Society. During his freshman summer, he was an Investment Analyst at Natureza Growth Partners, a CPG and Personal Care Growth Equity firm. Next summer he will be joining Oak Hill Advisors as a Private Credit Summer Analyst. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends.
Lucas Blanco — VP of Operations & Finance
Lucas is a junior from Miami, Florida studying Business. He is currently VP of Operations and Finance. On campus, he is also VP of Education for BlackGen, and a member of Michigan Restructuring Group and ALPFA. During his freshman summer, Lucas interned at RiverPark, a New York-based investment advisory firm. This past summer, Lucas focused on secondaries advisory as a Private Equity Summer Analyst at Fairview Capital Group, which he will rejoin next summer. In his free time, he enjoys SCUBA diving, reading, and collecting board games.
Daniel Garcia Perez — VP of External Relations
Daniel is a junior from Madrid, Spain studying Pure Mathematics and Economics. He is currently the VP of External Relations. During his freshman summer, Daniel worked at Divitel S.L as a Market Research Summer Analyst. This past summer, Daniel interned at Galileo Capital as an investment analyst. Next summer, he will join Moelis as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. In his free time, Daniel enjoys playing sports with his friends, traveling, and watching soccer – especially Real Madrid.
Samika Mallick — VP of Internal Relations
Samika is a junior from Freemont, CA studying Mathematics and Economics. She is currently the VP of Internal Relations. On campus, she is involved with the Michigan Taekwondo Club. During her freshman summer, Samika worked at Lore as a Product & Strategy Intern. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, yoga, and reading.
Ruby Gao— VP of DEI
Ruby is a junior from San Diego, CA studying Business with a minor in Statistics. She is currently serving as the VP of DEI. She is also VP of Education of the Impact Investing Group at Michigan. During her freshman summer, Ruby was an Investment Management Summer Analyst at DeRoy & Devereaux, a long-only investment manager. This past summer, she was an investment banking summer analyst at Davidson Kempner. Next summer, she will join M. Klein as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and playing volleyball.
Bryce Langdon — Co-Director, UIC 19
Bryce is a junior from New York City studying Economics and French. He is currently Co-Director of ENGAGE UIC 19. During his freshman summer, Bryce was a Growth Equity Summer Analyst at Merit Holdings. This past summer, he interned at Aquiline Capital Partners as a Private Equity Summer Analyst. Next summer, he will join PJT Partners as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, watching New York sports teams, and spending time with his friends.
Tommy Goldstein — Co-Director, UIC 19
Tommy is a junior from Los Angeles, CA majoring in Economics and International Studies. He is currently Co-Director of ENGAGE UIC 19. During his freshman summer, Tommy was an Investment Banking & Private Equity Summer Intern at American Discovery Capital. This past summer, he joined Calexo as an Investment Analyst. Next summer, he will intern as a Summer Investment Banking and Growth Equity Analyst at Raine. He is also a Venture Scout for GoAhead Ventures. In his free time, Tommy enjoys playing soccer, writing about food, and surfing.
